Here are some examples of what can be done using a standard sand blaster, a steady hand, patience and imagination.

The above oak base has a strip of LED lights in the slot so that the engraved mirror will light up.   The mirror is etched from the back side, the lettering and clock can be colored with almost any color or simply left clear, your choice.
